Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller Biography
An eighth-generation farmer and rancher, Sid Miller is the 12th Commissioner of the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA). Since taking office in 2015, Commissioner Miller has brought real, common sense reform to TDA and has devoted his time to promoting Texas agriculture, rural communities, and the great state of Texas.
First elected in November 2014, Commissioner Miller was re-elected to a third term as Agriculture Commissioner in 2022, receiving 4.2 million votes – a state record for this office. He will be the first person to serve more than two terms as Agriculture Commissioner in over 45 years.
Miller quickly earned his reputation as a staunch defender of Texas agriculture, constitutional freedoms, and individual liberties for all Texans. He is the state’s strongest advocate for Texas agriculture, Texas-grown products, and Texas-owned businesses.
Commissioner Miller is a businessman who breeds and trains his own American Quarter Horses. In his spare time, he is a recognized rodeo cowboy who holds 24 world championship titles.
He and his wife, Debra, have been married for going on 47 years. They have two sons, two daughters-in-law and five grandchildren. They are active members of the Cowboy Church of Erath County, where Commissioner Miller also serves as an elder.

Following the model of the founder of Eagle Forum, the late Phyllis Schlafly, Cindi leads Texas Eagle Forum as a full-time volunteer. She and her husband of 36 years raised their three sons in Dallas, Texas and were excited to meet their first grandchild when she was born in June!

Dr. Laura Pressley will be our July speaker

Dr. Pressley is first and foremost a Christian. Her research interests include electronic voting system technology, computerized voting tabulation processes and security, statistical analysis of electronic voting results, central counting station central accumulator audit logs, along with the study of state and federal election laws associated with the storage of backup records for elections. 

In 2018, Dr. Pressley founded True Texas Elections, LLC to address how our votes are counted.  She has given over 500 presentations across Texas on the technical details of how Texas’ electronic voting machines, and Texas’ election officials around the state, are not adhering to state laws regarding retention of election records and counting of votes.  Since 2016, she has trained over 600 central counting station election watchers, election judges, and clerks in more than 45 counties in Texas. 

Come hear Dr. Pressley give us an update on Election Integrity efforts in the 88th Legislative Session and how we can get involved in efforts to have fair and secure elections.

Wes Virdell will be our June speaker

Wes currently serves as the Texas State Director for Gun Owners of America.  With the support of his family and countless liberty-loving Texas patriots, he is helping lead the fight to protect our inalienable rights.

Wes is a veteran and small business owner in the Transportation Industry.  Like many hardworking Texans, he places a priority on faith, family, and freedom.  Born and raised in the heart of Texas, he is 9th generation Texan and 14th generation American.

A few short years after graduating from Brady High School in 1998, Wes served in the U.S. Air Force where he worked on Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles and served as a Military Training Leader.  After being honorably discharged from the military, he returned to his hometown of Brady and got involved in the fight for the right to keep and bear arms.  He started attending committee hearings for gun legislation in Texas in 2011 and was active in the battles for open carry in 2015 and Constitutional Carry in 2021.

Wes served as a 2020 and 2022 State Delegate for the Republican Party of Texas and as a 2020 National Delegate for the Republican National Convention.  He served as the Texas Hill Country Coordinator for Gun Owners of America from 2020 to 2022.

Teresa Beckmeyer will be our May speaker

Teresa Beckmeyer currently serves as a Sr. Political Advisor where she works in all facets of the political world including grassroots activism, large donor activities, and Congressional and Legislative interests.

She previously served as the Executive Director of the Texas House Freedom Caucus 2017-2019 and as Mitchell County Republican Chairman for over 15 years.  She has also served as a Regional Director for the Texas Republican County Chairman’s Association, as a rules, legislative priorities, and nominations committee representative for multiple Texas Republican State Conventions, and has worked on various national and state campaigns.  

Teresa served on Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick’s Grassroots Advisory Board in the 85th legislative session and was honored to receive the Senate District 28 Republican Party Volunteer of the Year in 2013, the Conservative Leader Award in 2015 and Grassroots America Champion of Freedom Award in 2018.  In 2022, she was honored to become a Club for Growth Fellow.

Andy Eller will be our April speaker

Andy is our State Republican Executive Committeeman for SD 24 and Vice Chair the SREC Election Integrity Committee.  He is on the SREC Resolutions Committee where he has served since June of 2022.  He is also on the Parental Rights and Educational Freedom Legislative Priorities Sub-Committee for the 88th Legislative Session.  He is Precinct Chair and serves on other committees.

Andy has previously served on various committees for years at the Bell County and State Republican Conventions.  Those include Resolutions, Platform, and Government & Election Integrity.  He was on the RPT School Choice Legislative Priorities Committee for the 87th Legislative session and was a staunch Election Integrity advocate during that session.  He has also served as Election Judge & Poll Watcher for years.

Andy travels to Austin weekly to testify and advocate for Grassroots and Republican Party priorities.  He brings a wealth of knowledge on how to follow bills though the Legislative process and the actions of the Legislature.

Aubree Adams will be our March speaker

Aubree Adams has been a host mom for youth in recovery and a former Colorado parent. She presents a first-hand perspective on the growing public health concern emerging from the marijuana legalization culture. Aubree is currently the Director of Every Brain Matters, a community of support and advocacy built on science and the lived experience of marijuana harms. Aubree co-developed Mar-Anon, a 12-Step program that gives support and hope to families affected by another person’s marijuana use. She also hosts a podcast called “It’s Just Pot: What’s the Problem?” where she openly discusses the public health crisis caused by the marijuana expansion. Aubree was honored to be a recipient of Drug Free America Foundation’s 2021 Moxie award, and her op-ed was published in USA Today.

How Marijuana Legalization Changed My Colorado Home

This presentation is perfect for educating legislators and communities on what happens when we allow legalization and widespread commercialization into our communities. Aubree shares with attendees not only how her beloved, quiet, neighborly town of Pueblo, CO became a haven for illegal marijuana growers after legalization but how the community was unable to handle the mental and physical health crisis due to lack of foresight, funding, and education.

Jill Glover will be our February speaker

Jill Glover is the State Republican Executive Committeewoman for SD 12 and chair of the SREC Legislative Priorities Committee.  She authors the Republican Party of Texas email, the Legislative Priorities Report, and speaks around the state to clubs and organizations on RPT Legislative Priorities.  Jill also tours with Grassroots America, “Texas Conservative Mamas,” speaking on the targeting of our children by the culture and educational system.  She served on the 2020 state Republican Platform Committee, is a precinct chair and election judge, serves as a board member of the Flower Mound Area Republican Club and served as the chair of the Denton County Conservative Coalition vetting committee.

Jill has a master’s degree in Psychology, is a Licensed Professional Counselor, and has testified on a variety of bills before our state legislature.  She has taught college level psychology and sociology, and worked in both in-patient and out-patient mental health settings.

Jill is particularly interested in protecting our liberties, protecting children, and preserving our Judeo-Christian principles in the Republican Party.

Armando Escalante is a public speaker, researcher, and activist.  He has lead Bible classes for almost 30 years.  He has been a guest on liberty radio shows and spoken at many Republican clubs and Patriot groups.  He speaks on various topics, including Cultural Marxism, Socialism, Globalism, Sustainable Development, and the Principles of Liberty and the Constitution.  Come hear Armando expose the dangers of an Article V Constitutional Convention.

Dr. Dana Myers was elected by the delegates at the Texas State Republican Convention in June of 2022 to be the new Vice Chairman of the Republican Party of Texas.

As Vice Chair, her goal is to continue to strengthen the party, build the party infrastructure to amplify grassroots voices and goals, support the Chairman, party leadership, and the Republican party legislative priorities and platform.
